Your Media Library

The media library is where all the websites content lives. Any content you want to put onto the site must be uploaded here first before it can be published. To make it easier to manage, the media library uses folders to help you keep it organised and is similar to the file browser on your desktop. There is a folder tree down the left-hand side to show you all the folders that exist, and the current folder view is on the right-hand side.

We are currently at the base of the media library; you can see that there are sub-folders at the top which we can click into. These hold the content that is already on the site, for example, our Policies, which are represented as icons below. This folder has no sub-folders, so there is nothing at the top.

Folders and Filtering

We can right click on both Folders and Media items, for example we can create a new folder, re name the folder and delete the folder. We also have the option to set a colour, this is a nice way to help you organise the library. If we click on a media item, we can Edit, to view an item overview, delete the media item out and get a direct URL to that item copied to our clipboard.

At the top, we can see some filtering and sorting options as well as a breadcrumb trail to show us where abouts we are in the library.

Uploading Media

To upload new Media, we can either drag and drop a file onto the page or you can upload via the Add New button at the top. Click select files, then choose what you would like to upload. You can then further sort this by drag and drop, for example.
